Rob Pulsifer

Rob Pulsifer grew up in both Saratoga Springs and Elizabethtown, NY. His family is from Elizabethtown, the small Adirondack town where he spent most of his youthful summers with his Dad (George Pulsifer, Jr.) and his grandparents (George Pulsifer, Sr., and Clementina Pulsifer). Rob’s Aunt Florence bought him his first guitar out of the Spiegel catalog when he was 12 years old. He played that inexpensive acoustic guitar so often that it simply disintegrated. Within a few years, he became the lead guitarist for AVIATOR; he would play for that band from his junior high school years until he enrolled at Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, NY. He then played in various pick-up engagements and filled in for local bands throughout his undergrad years at ACC and State University of New York at Albany. In 1987, he graduated from SUNY @ Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a minor in Business Administration. Rob headed to Morgantown, WV in 1988 to attend law school at West Virginia University College of Law. While there, he played lead guitar in a band whose members included law students, medical students, and other students. The band went by several different names, including OUT ON BAIL. He graduated as a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1991. Upon returning home to Upstate New York, Rob sat for and passed both the New York and Massachusetts bar exams. He opened a law practice in Saratoga Springs, NY in 1992. In 1995, his aging Uncle Clem Pulsifer transferred over to Rob the unoccupied and deteriorating family home near Elizabethtown. In the spring of 1999, Rob and ETX co-founder, Byron Peregrim, began the long, slow process of gutting and rebuilding the house. The re-birth of the house spawned the birth of E’TOWN EXPRESS in the summer of 1999. Throughout the early days of E’TOWN EXPRESS, Rob served as lead guitarist and alternate lead singer for the band. Over the years, as too many lead singers passed through the revolving door, a solution to the problem of ever-changing frontmen slowly became apparent. In 2007, Rob stepped into the front man role permanently. Eventually, the name of the band was adjusted to ROB PULSIFER and the E’TOWN EXPRESS. Rob Pulsifer currently maintains homes in both Elizabethtown and Saratoga Springs, NY. Along with his frontman duties for E’TOWN EXPRESS and BEACH PARTY EXPRESS (Duo Show), Rob continues to play SOLO ACOUSTIC SHOWS all over Upstate New York and New England on nights when the band is unscheduled.
