With 4 Irish grandparents, Dave Moore was naturally drawn to Irish music and culture, and started his performing career with a focus on Celtic folk songs. Dave also offers tunes from the Americana, bluegrass, country, rock, and pop songbooks. Performances are tailored to the venue and the audience, and sets often evolve throughout the set to audience response.
In addition to his solo work, Dave is a founding and current member of the popular Irish folk-rock band Craic Agus Ceol (CAC), which performs throughout eastern New York and western New England. He is also rhythm guitarist and vocalist with the trop rock band Barefoot Parrots, and plays clarinet and sax with a regional pops band. He can occasionally be found hosting an open mic or sitting in with other local musicians.
