Second Saturday Flea Market – June

Second Saturday Flea Market

The Second Saturday Flea Market stands out among the events here. This market takes place every month and brings together a handpicked selection of vendors offering unique and affordable second-hand items. Whether you’re a treasure hunter or simply love shopping for vintage finds, this is the perfect opportunity to score some one-of-a-kind pieces.

And it’s not just about the flea market – don’t forget to explore the year-round shops inside the Shirt Factory. With a diverse range of locally-made goods, you can support small businesses while finding high-quality products you won’t find anywhere else.

But the Shirt Factory isn’t just about shopping. It’s also a hub for creativity and community. Many artists and artisans who have studios in the building open their doors to visitors during events, letting you see their work up close and even chat with them about their process.

If you’re feeling inspired after all that browsing and mingling, consider signing up for one of the workshops or classes the studios offer here. Led by experienced professionals, these sessions cover a wide range of topics, such as painting, pottery, jewelry making, and more. It’s a great way to explore your creativity and learn something new while having fun.

Of course, no visit to the Shirt Factory is complete without indulging in delicious food and drinks. Over in the Annex, Rock Hill Bakehouse and Cafe offers a variety of tasty treats, from freshly brewed coffee to homemade pastries and sandwiches. And for those looking for something stronger, stop by Hicks to discover the latest offerings from Slyboro Ciderhouse.

So come to The Shirt Factory to experience all we have to offer! Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, a delicious snack, or want to support local businesses and sustainability, we have something for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome you into our community at The Shirt Factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes it is. Even though the parking lot is closed, we create some temporary handicap accessible spaces at the edge of the 73 Lawrence Street lot boarding Curran Lane.

The event is outdoors in a paved lot.

To browse the shops inside and the restrooms, please use the ramp next to the loading dock inside the 73 Lawrence Street parking lot.

In addition to parking on the street, there is parking in our lot at 19 Cooper Street. If you need the handicap/stroller accessible entrance, please try to park near the lot at 73 Lawrence.

For those visiting Rockhill Bake House, you can park in the lot at 18 Curran Lane and the entrance is inside the parking lot.

Please do not park on our neighbors property or block access to their property, This includes the parking lots at Ascko, Mahoney, Glens Falls Produce and Grey Ghost.

This event is free to attend, the only cost will be what you buy while you are here! Because each shop and booth is it’s own independent business that sets their own prices, the cost of items varies from store to store and vendor to vendor, you will find something to fit almost every budget here.

The Shirt Factory is located on Lawrence Street in Glens Falls, and is bordered on one side by Cooper Street and by Curran Lane on the other.

There are four entrances to the main building, all except one enter at a landing between the Garden Level (down) and the First Floor (up). The exception is the entrance at the loading dock, found in the lot at 73 Lawrence Street. This handicap/stroller accessible entrance enters the building at the first floor, where most of the shops are located.

If you are looking to visit Sweet Side Records, Dakine Cuisine, K Fanciullo Photography Glens Falls Distilling or Rockhill Bake House, you will find them in the Annex building, the green metal roof next to the Shirt Factory on Curran Lane. The parking lot for the Annex is at 18 Curran Lane and the entrance to Rockhill is inside the parking lot.

There are seven public restrooms at the Shirt Factory. There is one on the Garden Level and two on each of the other floors.

On each floor at least one restroom is handicap accessible.

The restroom to your right after entering at the loading dock has a change table.

Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome, although there will be some shops that you will not be able to bring your furry friend.

We understand that not everyone likes to put their dog on a leash and has trained their dog to respond to commands while off leash. This is a busy event with lots of news smells and sounds to stimulate your pet, and not everyone visiting may be excited to see your dog there. To ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable attending the event, all dogs must be physically under their owner’s control while here.

Both Rockhill Bake House and SensibiliTeas hold licenses from Ag and Markets which state that only trained service animals are allowed in their establishments. Unfortunately, at this time, the state does not recognize emotional support animals as trained service animals.

We get pretty excited about our events and look forward to sharing a good time with everyone. With that in mind, we also want to make sure it’s a good time for the vendors too. If we make any changes to an event, from canceling to ending early, we will post in on our Facebook page.

For outdoor events, we will cancel ahead of time if the forecast calls for high winds or thunderstorms. If you’ve never done it, setting up at an event is labor intensive, we want to make sure that vendors always feel like it was worth the effort!

Each booth and shop is it’s own independent business. Many accept credit cards and digital payments, but there are always a few that are cash only. For the best experience, we recommend coming with cash too. From folks who don’t accept cards to folks experiencing technical difficulties with their processing hardware, they’ll appreciate your flexibility with paying and it will make things much more enjoyable for everyone.

During select events, a third party sets up ATM’s at the property for the convenience of our visitor’s. Unfortunately this is not one of the events that they attend, so we highly recommend coming prepared with cash!

There will be one to two vendors set up during this event. In addition, Rock Hill Bakehouse and Cafe (in the Annex at 18 Curran Lane) has a range of vegan dishes and baked goods; SensibiliTeas (studio 106 inside the Shirt Factory) has soda, coffee, hot and cold tea and a selection of botanical beverages, and prepared snack foods; and Hick's Orchard (studio 104 inside the Shirt Factory) has cold cider, spirits, and fudge.

Generally lost items get turned into the property owner and end up in Studio 106, SensibiliTeas. We usually post on Facebook if something has been turned in, but you can always message on Facebook or call 518-502-1450 to find out if anything has been turned in.

If no one claims a valuable item after 24-48 hours (depending on when it is turned in), we will turn it into the Glens Falls Police Department. Less valuable items, we will hold in the studio for two months.

You can fill out the application on our website, ShirtFactoryGF.com, under "Our Events" where we have a master application for all of our events throughout the year.
