Classes meet for 2 hours each week for eight weeks. Lessons each week include demos and individual teaching for 1 hour. Work and practice your skills for the remaining hour on your own. Tuition includes use of tools, glazes, firing, and clay.

Beginner through advanced students (ages 13 and up), will learn the basic techniques of working with clay, with demonstrations accompanying the instructions. Students will practice throwing and shaping the basic forms of the cylinder and bowl on the potters wheel, to create functional and decorative pieces. Form and function will be discussed, and attention to detail emphasized. Trimming and glazing techniques are also be covered.

Missed classes must be made up during the current session. Payment is due the first class.

Students need to bring their own apron, towel, and bag to carry them.
